The ball bearing is a kind of rolling bearing. The ball ball is installed in the middle of the inner steel ring and the outer steel ring and can bear a large load. Also called ball bearing.
The balls and rings are usually made of high-chromium steel with a Rockwell C-scale hardness of about 61-65. The hardness of the retainer is lower than that of the ball and ring. The material of the retainer is metal or non-metal (such as: Teflon, PTEF, polymer material). Ball bearings have less frictional resistance to rotation than journal bearings, so at the same speed, the temperature generated by friction will be lower.
♥ Important points for installing bearings:
1. Improve the quality of lubrication, control the pressure, temperature and flow of engine oil, and strengthen the filtration of engine oil.
2. Use fuel and lubricating oil that meet the requirements.
3. Control the temperature state of the diesel generator set, and work under the condition of supercooling and overheating is unfavorable. In cold weather, the diesel engine should be preheated before starting, and the crankshaft should be turned by hand to allow the engine oil to enter the friction surface.
4. The surface quality and geometry of bearings and journals should be strictly guaranteed.
5. The bearing clearance should be appropriate. If the generator set is too large, it will cause impact.
